A Beginner's Guide to Playing Interactive Fiction

Step 7: Download an interpreter

Computer platform:MacOS X
Game format:TADS2

Please choose an interpreter.

I recommend:
  • TADS Runtime Runs all TADS2 games, but can't show graphics. Note that most games don't have graphics anyway. Package also includes compiler and debugger.
But you may also use:
  • aQuaTads A MacOS X build of QTads, which is a combined TADS 2 and TADS 3 run-time for Unix/X11 using the Qt library. Runs all TADS2 and TADS3 games. Don't know if it can show graphics.
